As you can see on the linked photograph that David Easton put on the identity of Amy was not known, but this photograph gives her full name. Here is the post that came with this photograph from David:-

I have found this photo on the Picture The Past archive. This group outside Bridgemont Mission includes Miss Mellor(Amy Turnock) third from the right. Looks like our Aunt Amy.

This photograph is credited to Miss Frances Webb. The copyright is North East Midland Photographic Record. We hope they don't mind us putting it here. They can copy the photograph of Amy if they wish.

I acquired a copy of this photo with the passing of my parents, but there was no info on the people or the date. I am interested in the ladies with the same maiden name as my mother and grandfather. i.e Milnes. Appart from knowing my grandfather is named on the W.W.1 memorial. I know very little of their history. Therefore if anyone has any info on the Milnes I would be most grateful if they could share it. Rick Braddock.

The man second from right behind and between Amy and the man with the basket is my maternal Great Grandfather JOHN GOODWIN DOWNS - Born Ollersett 1862, Died 1927. Obituary in REPORTER April 23 1927 it states he was elder of the Council for twentyfive years before his death. The Mission Room at Bridgemont had been erected shortly before he came to reside in this district. He joined the mission in which he had since been very active. For many years he had been General Superintendant and rarely missed any services. I have photographs of my Grandfathers Wedding in 1913 taken outside the Mission but do not know how to attach them.

Thank you for the message. Sorry to say we do not run to attaching photos on this site, just the forum. There is an email address on the homepage where they can be sent, it is
If you send them I will put them on this site with links to this photograph. (Now done, see links below)
