Do I remember right, wasn't this bridge moved to a park in Stockport when it was dismantled for the Errwood reservoir.
I remember as lads we would get this bridge swinging from side to side, what you do when you are young. A.B.

Good morning again Alan,

There have been rumours of the whereabouts of the suspension bridge since the late 70's.

Some say it was cut up and is in Whaley Park near the swings; some say it was taken to Wales.
I have never heard that it went to a park in Stockport.

I am 99% certain it ended up in a scrap yard. I have put a photo of it somewhere on here showing it being cast aside and lying in a heap of metal.

I'll ask Norm to find it tonight. Not the bridge itself but the photo.
