i had my first pint in the jolly aged 15. i think a pint of mild cost 1 shilling and 7 pence, the same as a packet of 10 cadets.6 pints of mild, 10 cadets and then down to Nancies for an eat in fish supper for two and six and still change out of a pound note to see me through the week.

Mick, when you went to Nancy's chippy did you have a large portion because if you only had a small fish and chips you would be hungry by the time you got home!
