The building in the picture is alas no more. The one similar to it is on the other side of the road to the left of the picture. The one shown is The Midland railway station and the bollard lead down to the taxi rank via Conway's D.I.Y. shop. The other station was London and North Western station. I went from the Midland station down towards the south of England in 1961 but I don't know when it closed and was demolished.
