Chinley

Many comments have come in regarding this photograph and they all were on the same theme, the photograph is not real.

By real I mean it is not an old photograph. It was taken on the 30th May 2015 and has been altered by Photoshop. Everyone spotted certain details that gave the game away, well done to all. I have only added one comment that best explains it, but thanks to Roger Taylor and Tom Pepper who also sent comments in. The steam engine belongs to Buggyite from the forum who sent me the photograph, he doesn't own the train but he probably wishes he did.

So I hope it has not caused any problems and also no one has copied it.

This photo has just been added. It was emailed to me and the sender would like to know if anyone knows when or where it was taken. The only clue is the word Chinley etched in it. It is a good photo though and any help would be great.

The photo was taken on Sat. 30th May 2015.The train is The East Yorkshireman from Preston to Scarborough excursion The loco is ex L.M.S. Jubilee class 45690 Leander.

The train's just gone through Chinley station and is heading for the Hope Valley line to Sheffield then eventually Scarborough.

The photo was staged to feature the 2 cars, steam traction engine and the loco altogether.

Super traction of yesteryear in 2015!!!
