That's a very good photo Norm.

I haven't seen it before.

When the powder mill closed down in about 1920 one of the buildings used in the manufacture of gunpowder was taken down and moved to Kettleshulme and formed the Youth Hostel just below Windgather Rocks.

Please do you know anything about a gunpowder store at Green Low Heath (Neighbour Way) Farm Kettleshulme James Hewitt lived at Green Low Heath c 1910 and sold gunpowder from a small shop on the end of the cottages on the main road opposite the school in Kettleshulme

Yes i live at Neighbourway farm and there is a building below our house that was a gunpowder store
