This photograph of a cottage serving teas in the Goyt Valley was taken in 1931, just a few years before it was submerged under Fernilee reservoir.

I suspect the owner of this property held out against Fernilee Reservoir until the end. There is even smoke still coming out of the chimney on some photographs.

This house looks to me like Martha Lowes home that was in Mill Clough Taxal

I visited mill clough cottage many times.
