Latest post of the previous page:

Hi Norm,

I don't know if this is a new photo of our suspension bridge; perhaps it isn't.
But I have not seen one with that strange black shape in the water before. At first I thought it was the North Wales plonker learning to swim and failing miserably but I thought it better not to say that on here.

What do you think?

R. S-S

Oh incidentally a lady who passes my house most days told me a couple of days ago that she has quite a few photos of the bridge taken when she was very young. She says she will bring them round later this week. Time will tell.

Love the way everyone is "posing" for this picture, all looking at the camera ! Well staged :)

This is a photo of a farmhouse and yard and although I know I have been there I can't remember where it is.
Note the entrance gate with the stone ball on top.

I think it could be in Furness.

No, but I seem to recognise the black bullock with 3 legs.

Just to make things worse, any one know where this is?

The ruins on the hill might help.

I would say Castleton as well.

That looks like Peveril Castle on the hilltop.

Hmm, a bit too easy really.

Here are three photos that we all know about. Well we know where they were taken, but the buildings certainly don't exist anymore. As you may well know when Fernilee reservoir was being built a small town was built, Tin Town or Temporary Village, to house all the workers etc.

I don't think these three have been seen on here, and they will be added to the site in the Fernilee Reservoir Construction album.

I presume the last one must be an occasion, not a normal tea time.

Hi Norm,

Not convinced that any of those 3 photos are of the Fernilee temporary village.
The huts are of a different construction and where are the rows of houses?

All I can say in my defence is they were in the collection you gave me, so I haven't a clue. :)

Since there is doubt I won't put them on the site. Wonder where they are from then. Probably never know.
