#3032 Am I a Jodrell?

Post by Amiajodrell? »

 Hi first thanks for the add.
I am researching my family ancestry and have struck upon Jodrell's.
I have followed them all the way back to Roger Jodrell of Yeardsley using normal resources but cant quiet believe my info. Lol

I am wonder is there anywhere that anyone knows of to see a confirmed family tree.

I just want to see if I have my info correct and not just the big names of the family the other names that are inbetween.

As it stands I am a direct descendant as Roger was my 15x great grandfather but would love to confirm it.

Love x stacy

Hi Stacey

Not sure if you can get to the Derbyshire Record Office, or if you have been. Here's a link to their holdings for the name Jodrell.

Could be that you will find more info or, perhaps, a genealogical line.

Also, The National Archives list information which is held at the University of Manchester Library. See here:

Hello Stacy,

I am not sure whether or not I have the information you need.
But my dear friend Peter Jodrell left me loads of documents, one being his family tree.
If you would like to send me a private message with your name on it and any recent information I could look it up for you.
There are some recent and unusual names on Peter's tree; not just William Celandine Jodrell who was the landlord of the Seven Stars in Horwich End but was killed in action in the war aged 42.
